Jill Stein: If she were running under any other party banner, you’d be tripping over yourselves to vote for her.

And if you pay attention to her platform, that’s what you’ll do this November. Look: You already have to hold your nose in the election booth this year anyway - Hillary or Trump?  What a choice! But most people see these two ne’er-do-wells as the only offering, failing to take the time to study and understand Jill Stein’s highly nationalistic positions on the economy, healthcare, and social justice. From my perspective she’s several rungs up the Sanity Ladder from either Clinton or Trump.

For the many weeks I’ve been searching for an alternative, she’s the only one who speaks to 60% of my concerns, and that is, after all, a substantial level of agreement. Certainly more than the other two.

My only issue, as it is for many of you, is that she’s a member of the Green Party, which by association means she is a slumber-minded, tree-hugging, pot-indulgent Left wing former Commie. What’s wrong with that? Probably nothing, given that we’ve had just about all the Corporate influences we can stand.

She’s not, though: She’s an articulate, Harvard-educated physician with a keen eye on the economics needed to boost our country out of the quagmire of Global Capitalism. She’s fiercely jobs-oriented focused on bringing opportunities to the vast number of Millennials and others - including those of us remaining in the now oldest generation - who are currently so burdened by student debt in an economic structure of waning opportunity, that most fail to see a way out: to begin life, to contribute, to experience what we have in the past in this once-great country.

Stein is a breath of fresh air, too, from an environmental perspective. As we sit here experiencing one red hot summer after another (growing increasingly hotter) with the promise of Big Oil capturing the White House again for four more years (at least) through either Clinton or Trump, I see no other way out: Our Grandchildren deserve better from us than to perpetuate the continued destruction of the planet.

It’s time to make a change that matters, not to feign a paradigmatic shift, but to actually impose a dramatic redirection. Maybe it’s too late to save the planet. Maybe not. But we won’t have the opportunity to try with either Clinton or Trump.  Here’s Dr. Stein’s Plan. Overlook the phrase, “Power to the People...” and you’ll probably find yourself agreeing with her, to maybe 60%, like me.
